Browser

The web, drawn by the desktop.

The Browser app lays out and paints pages in HolyC. A host engine fetches and decodes what TempleOS cannot, and sends back a render tree.

How it works

Native painter

Text, boxes, borders, links and images are drawn by the same toolkit as every other window.

Host engine

Headless Chrome behind a small bridge handles scripts, fonts and layout the guest cannot.

Tested on real sites

A harness runs 25 public sites in nine tiers, plus error fixtures.

Boot it and look around.

Build the image, run it in QEMU, and the desktop is there in a few seconds.
