Yakopop
Word-synced, colour-coded bilingual subtitles for language learners.
About
Yakopop turns a video into a lesson. Each word carries its original script, reading, transliteration, meaning and grammar, and it lights up together with the part of the translation it matches while the video plays.
Learners can hover for dictionary cards and audio, cut short clips into a personal library, and publish them to Reels. Creators import YouTube videos, playlists or whole channels in a Studio and choose languages, layers and level. Lessons cover Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Hindi, Nepali, Thai and Tibetan, with translations into 12 languages and a 12-language interface.
What it does
Layers you can read at a glance
Each word is stacked with its script, reading, romanization, meaning and grammar, colour-linked to the part of the translation it matches.
Tap any word
Hover or tap for a word card with the dictionary entry and audio, and play that single word from the video.
Practice that sticks
Every video comes with a five-minute quiz built from its own words, with hearts, XP and streaks, and a word list to keep.
Clips and Reels
Cut a 2 second to 3 minute clip with a word-snapped trimmer, loop it, keep it in a personal library and publish it to Reels.
A Studio for creators
Import YouTube videos, playlists or whole channels and choose languages, caption source, annotator, level, style and glossary before publishing.
Nine languages, twelve translations
Videos in Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Hindi, Nepali, Thai and Tibetan, translated into 12 languages, with a 12-language interface.
