Intended workflow vs what works today

Previs is a prototype page in the Kamiji family. It shows the shape of the tool; it is not a finished editor and nothing leaves your browser.

    Intended

    1. Block each scene as a node: pick the cast, a clip, a light, and see it live.
    2. Wire the nodes into story flow, with branches for alternates and cut or dissolve between scenes.
    3. Cut shots on the timeline, set camera A and B per shot, write dialogue and notes.
    4. Hand a printed or exported board to the team, and play the animatic with sound.

    Works today

    • Map: pan, zoom, drag, connect, branch, marquee, minimap, undo. Cards render live under a budget.
    • Timeline: play, scrub, trim, reorder, markers, in and out, 24, 25 or 30 fps.
    • Storyboard with real start-frame renders, and a 6-up print layout.
    • Project saved in this browser; Export and Import JSON.

    Stubbed or missing

    • No audio playback: the audio track holds notes only.
    • A dissolve is drawn on the map but plays as a cut.
    • Camera animation is two keyframes per shot; scene animation is the model's own clips.
    • No video export, no user models, no multi-user editing.
